My name is D’Artagnan Twomey.

My diverse background contributes to a versatile and passionate personality. I have 20 years experience coaching and mentoring bay area youth basketball through CYO, Rec & Park, AAU, club ball, Asian league, high school men’s and women’s basketball (frosh, jv & varsity), college off-season workouts, camps, clinics, private training, virtual workouts & more!

One thing is for sure - Coach D’ was born to coach. His infectious positive ENERGY shines through in his program each and every day. A. San Francisco, California.

Q. What sports did you play?

A. I am an all around athlete. Soccer (midfield & sweeper), Baseball (3rd base & clean up hitter), Basketball (point guard), Football (linebacker, defensive line, offensive line, full back, special teams), Olympic weight lifting & Calisthenics competitor.

Q. Why do you consider yourself a mentor?

A. I believe in the full development of the whole person. I am compassionate and intuitive, while understanding different learning styles. I want to assist others with the skill of setting and achieving goals. I understand that every moment is bigger than the game and want to give back to our youth and future generations of leaders in our community!

Q. What if I don’t know where to start?

A. I also have experience with rehabbing from injury so I understand the mental & physical efforts required as well as the patience and persistence needed to regain strength, flexibility, endurance and confidence.

Q. If I don’t play basketball, can you still help me?

A. I believe in multiple methods of staying in motion in addition to athletics, including stretching, breathing, yoga, tai chi, meditation and mindfulness.
